If you are here, it means you are on a path to self betterment . I would be honored to partner with you and discuss what has brought you to here and how I can support your therapeutic goals.
I love supporting people who struggle with trauma, relationships, anxiety, self-esteem issues, trust issues, lack of assertiveness, and those who love to learn about themselves and psychology. I love to look at the multiple aspects of your life that affect your healing. I also incorporate EMDR therapy, mindfulness, communication skills training, and other interventions that suit my clients.
I graduated from Wake Forest, located in North Carolina, with a Masters in Psychology. That foundation immersed me in various schools of thought that are useful in the therapy room. I also am also trained in Clinical Mental Health Counseling by Florida Atlantic University, which has given me the practical tools to work as a therapist.

One of the modalities I use to support clients is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Using CBT allows us to discover the unhealthy thoughts that elicit the emotions and behaviors you want to over come. When we understand this cycle, we can redesign it for a healthier version of yourself.
With your permission, I can help you explore spiritual truths that are supportive of your healing. As a Christian therapist, my worldview is Biblical. Still I will not impose my spirituality in the therapeutic process. You lead, I support.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is an excellent tool for healing trauma. EMDR helps bypass the conscious mind and the logic that sometimes limit breakthrough. If you have had some success with talk therapy but believe that some of your wounds require a different approach, ask me about EMDR.
I believe that self limiting beliefs are some of the deepest issues clients face. I truly believe that if you develop a healthier self concept and increase your self-worth your life will improve. I can support you in identifying negative self-talk, develop self-compassion, and improve your relationships with others.
In addition to looking at post traumatic stress (though tools like EMDR,) I encourage clients to consider post traumatic growth. Out of your adversity, you gained wisdom and character strengths that support healing. Let's discover them together.
I use mindfulness training as one way to help clients improve self awareness and self control. Mindfulness is an avenue toward self knowledge and self mastery. To improve yourself you must first understand yourself.
